CNET investigation nets two area men

CLARION – The Clarion County Narcotics Task Force filed charges this week against two men – a Rimersburg resident and a Clarion resident – on drug-related offenses.

Joseph James Solinsky, 56, Clarion, is charged with two felony counts of delivery of controlled substances; three misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia; and two misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance between 11:55 a.m. and 2:02 p.m. April 14 in Clarion Borough.

Marlin John Bellesfield Jr., 30, Rimersburg, is charged with two felony counts of delivery of controlled substances; two misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia; and two misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance between 2:02 and 6:21 p.m. April 14 in Clarion Borough.

The charges were filed by Clarion County Detective William H. Peck IV.

According to court documents, CNET investigators allegedly purchased 40 prescription Vicodin pain pills from Solinsky in exchange for $200.

CNET investigators also purchased a bag of alleged marijuana from Solinsky in exchange for $165.

CNET investigators returned to Solinsky’s apartment with an arrest warrant at which time Solinsky allegedly admitted he had sold marijuana and prescription medications earlier in the day.

Solinsky allegedly turned over a plastic bag containing marijuana.

Solinsky then allegedly agreed to make a purchase of marijuana from someone he bought the substance from.

Solinsky allegedly purchased one ounce of marijuana; he allegedly identified his supplier as “Johnny” and agreed to make another purchase.

Another purchase was made, with Bellesfield allegedly selling Solinsky two ounces of marijuana. Bellesfield was stopped and arrested along South Fifth Avenue after allegedly delivering the marijuana to Solinsky.

Bellesfield is being held at the Clarion County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail and Solinsky is being held on $3,500 bail.
