Knox Public Library hosted its last snugglers meeting on Thursday, May 1. Library childrens’ event director Sue Turtletaub organized a Teddy Bear Picnic for the children with over 30 stuffed teddy bears donated to the library by Knox resident Joyce Maitland as well as Sue’s own bears. Activities included singing along to “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, Looking at Me” and listening to a story written by Martha Weston entitled “Bea’s 4 Bears.” The snugglers group is for children aged six months to three years and meets the first Thursday of the month. Pictured here from left Josie Beary; Sue Turtletaub; Sydney Bell; Alannah Fulton and grandmother Becky Fulton; Chance Pippin and Tyler Burns enjoy a picnic that included delicious apple juice, grilled cheese sandwiches, swirled yogurt, Teddy Grahams and teddy bear shaped cookies.
