General News A ‘beary’ nice picnic
Knox Public Library hosted
its last snugglers meeting on Thursday, May 1. Library childrens’ event
director Sue Turtletaub organized a Teddy Bear Picnic for the children with over
30 stuffed teddy bears donated to the library by Knox resident Joyce Maitland as
well as Sue’s own bears. Activities included singing along to “Brown Bear,
Brown Bear, Looking at Me” and listening to a story written by Martha Weston
entitled “Bea’s 4 Bears.” The snugglers group is for children aged six
months to three years and meets the first Thursday of the month. Pictured here

included delicious apple juice, grilled cheese sandwiches, swirled yogurt, Teddy
Grahams and teddy bear shaped cookies.
