Anne C. Hargenrader, 105, a native of
Clarion

, died
Monday May 12, 2008
, at The Gatehouse in
Williamsport
. She had resided with her nephew and his family in
Loyalsock
Township
for many years.
Born
January 23, 1903
, in Marble, she was the daughter of the late William and Catherine Groner
Hargenrader.
Ms. Hargenrader was the private secretary for the president
of Bethlehem Steel in
Williamsport
for 35 years, retiring in 1964.
Ms. Hargenrader enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing cards,
reading, knitting and traveling and was still driving at 99 years old.
She was a member of the
Church
of
St. Ann
and was the church's oldest member.
Ms. Hargenrader is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Ms. Hargenrader was the last surviving member of her
immediate family, having been preceded in death by six brothers, Frank, Orie,
Henry, William, John and Edward, and three sisters, Josephine Grolemund, Lena
Zimmerman and Mary Ochs.
