held its annual Senior Spring Picnic from 12-
2
p.m.
May 30 with a guest appearance by Christian music singer Dan Shawl. Shawl has
performed on several different occasions at Country Springs and his music a big
hit with seniors who spent time singing along to old- time hits and remembering
times passed. The group of 110 attendees enjoyed a lunch and a festive afternoon
of uplifting music to celebrate the new season. Invitations were sent out to all
seniors in the community and another event, “Banana Split Day” will be held
sometime in August. Pictured here, Shawl presents his musical talents
accompanied by only background music.
