Space communications

North Clarion 5^th grader Kaylynn Sheffer takes part in the communications team for Moon, Mars and Beyond, an educational opportunity brought to North Clarion by NASA’s Distance Learning Network. In the classroom activity, students communicate with a NASA  flight director via the Internet and camera equipment in order to complete a simulated spaceship rescue mission. The students were divided into various teams and were asked to complete space science and math in order to complete their mission. Sheffer reads charts in order to communicate with the flight director.
