, in Kittanning, she was the second daughter of Paul and Dorothy Aleen White.
She spent her early life in Clarion.
She was married for 45 years to Bill Gerhart and he
survives
Mrs. Gerhart was a graduate of
Robert
Morris
Business
College
and started her career at Westinghouse Electric Corporation, where she met her
husband.
Mrs. Gerhart was a devoted homemaker and mother who gave
her energy and love to her family. She enjoyed cooking, the theatre and loved to
listen to beautiful music.
In addition to her husband Billy Lynn Gerhart of Charlotte,
N.C., Mrs. Gerhart is survived by one sister, Kay Hadley and her husband,
William, of Heath, Ohio and one son, Jay Gerhart, and his wife, DeDe, of
Gastonia, N.C.
The family wishes to give special thanks to the physicians,
caregivers and staff of Duke Medical Center Adult Bone Marrow Transplant
Program, who supported her during her courageous fight against leukemia.
