Memorial service

NICKLEVILLE – The Bethany E.C. Church will be hosting the DeHart-Rossman Wenner Post 997 memorial church service at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, May 25. All are welcome.

Schall to perform

SHIPPENVILLE – Dan Schall will perform at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 25, at the Rustic Acres campground, Shippenville.

Alpha Assembly of God

CLARION – Sunday school is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. and regular services begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Alpha Assembly of God church. Rev. Ronald Swanson is the pastor.

Bethany-Crossroads ECC

NICKLEVILLE – Worship services will be held at the 9:30 a.m. May 25, at Bethany Crossroads ECC. The Rev. Chris Lewis is pastor. Sunday school meets at 10:45 a.m.

Bethel Baptist Church

SLIGO – Sunday school classes for all ages meet at 10 a.m. at the Bethel Baptist Church of Sligo. The regular service begins at 11 a.m. junior church is held for children during the 11 a.m. service.

A Sweet Hearts couple’s marriage class meets at 10 a.m. Sunday. Sunday evening service is held at 6 p.m. Soul winning and visitations are at 1 p.m. on Friday and at noon on Saturdays. Bible study and prayer meeting are held at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Nurseries are provided.

Clarion C&MA Church

CLARION – Pastor Keith Allen concludes the Life of Christ series for the 11 a.m. Sunday, May 25, worship service at the Clarion Christian and Missionary Alliance Church .  

The church will be having a clothing give-away from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 24.

CLARION – Pastor Keith Richardson continues his sermon series “Lessons from the Life of David” at the 9 a.m. May 25, worship service at the First Baptist Church . Jeff and Wanda Barlett are the greeters.

The EDGE youth group meets from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

Clarion First UMC

CLARION – Rev. Dr. Deryl Larsen will deliver the message “For Laughing Out Loud” at the 8:30 and 11 a.m. service Sunday, May 25, at the First United Methodist Church in Clarion. David and Dixie Humphrey are the greeters.

Children’s Sunday school is held from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Clarion Free Methodist

CLARION – The Clarion Free Methodist Church will observe morning worship at 11 a.m. , May 25. Pastors Rev. Linda Schwab and Margaret Flowers lead the service. Janet Young will be the lay reader.

Sunday Morning Prayer and Meditation service will be held from 10:20 to 10:40 a.m. followed by conversation and coffee from 10:40 to 11 a.m. , all are welcome.

The SEED Shoppe of fairly-traded goods from around the world is open half an hour before and after Sunday and Wednesday services.

A bi-weekly prayer service will be held at 5:15 p.m. , May 28.

Faith Church of the Nazarene

KOSSUTH – Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. Worship begins at 10:45 a.m. ; Rev. Richard Koning delivers the message. A nursery is provided for both and junior church also meets at 10:45 a.m.

Steve Chambers will discuss scripture at 6 p.m. Sunday.

At 6 p.m. Wednesday a missionary meeting and youth meeting will be held.

Faith Lutheran Church

VENUS – Worship services are at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church . Tammy Ball will be the assisting minister for the 8 a.m. service and Josh Kerle will be the acolyte; Scott Daum will assist at the 10:30 a.m. and Julia Young will be the acolyte.

Fellowship Baptist Church

EMLENTON – Fellowship Baptist Church holds worship services at 11 a.m. Sunday and Sunday school is at 10 a.m.

Sunday evening services are at 6:30 p.m.

A men’s prayer breakfast will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 24. A skeet shoot will follow.

The teens will participate in Saturday of Service from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event will include yard work at the church and a pizza lunch.

Fern Trinity EC

FERN – The message will be delivered at 9:30 a.m. for the Sunday, May 25 worship service.

Children’s and adult Sunday school begins at 10:45 a.m.

A staffed nursery is available during church and Sunday school.

First Presbyterian

CLARION – Sunday worship begins at 10 a.m. Interim Pastor Dr. Kate Irish-Filer will deliver the message for Prayer Covenant Sunday. Olivia and Jacob Burns, Colin and Emma Giering and Alison Williams are greeters, Alison Williams and Emma Giering are acolytes and Brian Dunn and the adult choir provide music. Butch Campbell will lead teen church.

Nursery care will be provided during worship and Sunday school for preschool to grade 12 is at 10 a.m.

Fundamental Baptist Church

ST. PETERSBURG – Rev. Olin N. Race will deliver the message at the 11 a.m. May 25, service at the Fundamental Baptist Church . Sandra Blauser is the pianist. All ages Sunday school begins at 10 a.m.

Good Shepherd UMC

Grace ECC

NINEVAH – Worship services are at 8:30 and 11 a.m. May 25, at the Grace Evangelical Congregational Church in Ninevah. Sunday school meets at 9:45 a.m. with classes for all ages.

Immaculate Conception

CLARION – Most Rev. Donald W. Trautman, STD. SSL., Bishop of Erie will confer the sacrament of confirmation on 39 candidates at 7 p.m. mass, Friday, May 23.

Parishioners will observe the solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ this Sunday. This observance on the second Sunday after Pentecost celebrates the Lord’s enduring presence in our midst through the gift of his body and blood given in the Eucharist.

The anticipated mass will be celebrated at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, May 24. Sunday morning masses are at 7:30 , 9 and 11:15 a.m. The 9 a.m. mass will be broadcast on WWCH Radio.

A Memorial Day Mass will be held at 9 a.m. May 26. A continental breakfast will follow in the rectory meeting room.
