Let the bears choose
By Andrew Chechak, St. Petersburg

215-625-**** -- When I saw the name under the number on the ringing phone, several things ran thru my mind.

One: Phone sex --not interested. Two: Liberal (Socialist-Fascists) B&S -- I don’t dialogue with Liberals. Three: Garbage talk --a Bush hater would try to fill my ear with four letter words. Four: Money -- the Philadelphia phone bank was looking for donations.

It was 215-625-**** -- Hillary Clinton. I did not answer.

Snow Bears -- Once upon a time, a mother black bear and her four yearling cubs denned up for the winter in northern Canada . It was a terrible winter. The blizzards, the ice and snow build-up was so bad that only two of the black bear cubs, a male and a female, could just squeeze to the surface.

The sow bear became stuck with the two remaining cubs behind her. They did not survive. With no other black bears around for hundreds of miles, the two surviving cubs eventually mated and as a result of inbreeding, three albino cubs were produced.

As fate would have it, when the three white cubs were one-year-old, two Indian hunters came along and shot the parent black bears -- the only two black bears within hundreds of miles.

They failed to see the cubs blending with the snow and ice. With the worsening weather throughout the year due to Arctic cooling, the white bears had to remain in their local environment.

They wanted to be further south in warmer climes and they multiplied and they became know as Polar bears. I believe the federal government should transport all the Polar bears south to Michigan and Wisconsin . Let the bears choose if they want the South or the Arctic .
